One million recovery from trauma books needed in Ukraine by fall

The war on Ukrainian soil is challenging, and at the same time, dangerous for the rest of the world. News headlines have been promising a potential ceasefire by Easter. The invasion by Russia has ravaged the country for more than three years. In the Middle East, Israel’s war against Hamas continues. Instability is increasing in the world economy.

Amidst this, GCMM continues its mission with determination and persistence. The Great Commission mandate has not waned. We must take the good news of the Gospel to the people of our generation, regardless of the news of the day, the political weather, or the economic turmoil. In Ukraine, if anywhere, the message of restoration that comes through God’s healing word is needed. There are deep wounds in the souls of its people.

Help for war trauma victims

Not only do missiles and bombs tear apart the human body, but they also tear apart families. Relationships suffer as casualties of war — riddled with despair, distrust, and hopelessness.

According to the Ministry of Health in Ukraine, the number of professional psychiatrists and psychologists to handle the volume of its countrymen traumatized by the war is not enough. Another plan of action was desperately needed. To that need, GCMM is responding.

GCMM, together with Christian psychiatrists and psychologists, created a recovery from trauma book designed as a survival guide, addressing PTSD and psychological trauma — offering hope, restoration, and healing to those deeply affected by war from a biblical perspective.

Every book is medicine for the soul

You can be a part of offering the healing power of God’s word to one Ukrainian friend or an entire family.

While war-induced trauma has affected the lives of millions of Ukrainians, at the same time, spiritual hunger has grown to new heights. Together with you, we have the opportunity to feed the spiritual hunger of the nation and bring healing to the war-traumatized citizens of their country.

Funding is still needed to print these books! The cost of a book to a Ukrainian suffering from the horrors of the war is $3. With a donation of $30, you can provide 10 books for 10 families. The word of God still has the power to repair what war has broken. Each book offers the reader a new lease on life and is an integral part of the mission of GCMM. Every donation makes a difference.

Thank you for your prayers.
